Although SISR was started in February of 2007, we have 40 years of combined experience designing additions, renovations and new construction for commercial and residential projects, large and small. Whether our project is a multistory public building or a modest addition to a residence, our goal is always the same: to provide design services that achieve a balance between the goals of our individual clients and the shared responsibility of being global stewards. We believe that a successful project is not the product of an individual design professional but the result of a collaborative effort between the project owner and the design team. Douglas Stewart, AIA resumé Although my earliest memories are reflections of Marlow, I have to claim to be from suburban Short Hills, New Jersey, only returning to New Hampshire in the early seventies after the first of the college years. In the ensuing years I have accumulated 30 years of experience in the field, starting as a design/build contractor and continuing through the requisite professional architectural office time, to practicing as a licensed architect (with an Italian sojourn and an architectural degree thrown in as well). Christina O'Brien, AIA resumé Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, I lived in Buffalo for several years after graduating from the State University of NY at Buffalo with a Masters in Architecture. Fascinated with history, I found myself working for a local archaeologist doing historic map and deed research, and even some field work digging in the dirt. But after a year and a half of that, and starting to feel the need to put my degree to good use, I found a job at an architecture firm doing residential and commercial renovations and additions. But once city life started to wear on us, my husband and I decided to move to the country and found ourselves in New Hampshire. |
